Pauline FATIEN is an Associate Professor of Management at Grenoble Ecole de Management since 2020, following an international career that began in the United States and Colombia. Her expertise focuses on organizational support practices, such as coaching, with a particular interest in power dynamics and ethical issues. She promotes the development of reflective and critical skills in leadership and management contexts.
Pauline conducts research in collaboration with public institutions (including government ministries), private organizations, and professionals in coaching and leadership development. Her work has been published in academic journals (over thirty articles), books and book chapters, and is also featured in podcasts, media outlets, and specialized press.
Committed to building bridges between research and practice, Pauline has initiated and coordinated numerous projects within professional communities (such as the Association Francophone de Gestion des Ressources Humaines, the Graduate School Alliance for Education in Coaching, and Philosophy of Coaching), and contributed to founding the Institute for Critical Coaching.
Pauline holds a degree from HEC Paris (2002), a research Master’s in the Sociology of Power from Université Paris Cité (2004), and a PhD in Management from HEC Paris (2008). She earned her Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) from Université Grenoble Alpes in 2024.
