STRategy, InnoVation, Entrepreneurship

At GEM, the STRIVE team (STRategy, InnoVation, Entrepreneurship) explores how organizations and individuals can harness strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship to strengthen resilience amid technological, economic, societal, and environmental transitions. Through rigorous empirical research, we generate insights into strategic decision-making, technology and innovation management, entrepreneurial psychology, and collaborative organizing. By critically examining the social, ethical, and environmental implications of these activities, we seek to inform more responsible organizational practices and contribute to a resilient and equitable future.

The STRIVE teams aims to:

• Inform strategic decision-making in organizations facing contemporary transitions.
• Observe and analyze technology adoption to guide responsible innovation.
• Support sustainable entrepreneurship and the emergence of new business models.
• Guide organizational transformation to enhance economic, social, and environmental resilience.
• Document the social and ethical impacts of these transformations in close connection with field practice.

The STRIVE team is coordinated by Maggie-Qiuzhu Mei, Associate Professor at GEM. Her research focuses on innovation, entrepreneurship, value capture, and organizational learning.
