Our mission at the DOS Chair is to produce and disseminate scientific knowledge on the impact of digital technologies on individuals, organizations, health and our society.
The chair is supported by about fifteen researchers from Grenoble Ecole de Management. We work with them, without preconceived ideas, to understand how these technologies are changing our daily lives, the way we work and interact with others; the way firms innovate, create value, or reorganize themselves; the way our society functions, its ability to adapt or resist, its uses and representations.

White Paper: Consent to care - Is the patient truly free? (2024 - in French)
Do patients truly have freedom of choice when facing their doctors? Is the notion of "free and informed consent," enshrined in French law since 2002, fully implemented? This white paper explores these questions by gathering insights from healthcare professionals, legal experts, sociologists, anthropologists, and digital technology specialists in e-consent tools. A key conclusion emerges: a gap persists between legal requirements and practical applications.
Student Work: "Digital at the heart of dissertations" - Editions 2023-2022 (in French)
Digital technologies, omnipresent in our lives, are profoundly transforming social interactions and our relationship with the environment. These developments have sparked the interest of researchers aiming to guide societal changes. This white paper highlights the most significant contributions from our students’ final dissertations. By sharing these insights, we aim to showcase their analyses on current digital challenges while supporting the generation shaping tomorrow’s world.
Guide: Put a stop to digital overload - 2022

This guide offers a reflective approach to your use of digital tools in the workplace, considering individual preferences and those of your colleagues and partners. It provides practical solutions to regain control, avoid mental overload, and includes highly actionable tips! The design and graphic production work received the 1st prize for communication in Higher Education and Research, in the editorial communication category. These awards are presented by ARCES and aim to recognize the best initiatives to promote higher education institutions.
White Paper: What senses in digital? - Methods to reinvent sensory marketing in a digital context - 2019 (in French)
This white paper explores how to reinvent sensory marketing in the digital era. Faced with the rise of e-commerce and the integration of digital devices in retail spaces, it examines creating rich sensory experiences in dematerialized environments. Drawing on "embodied cognition" theories and recent psychology research, it proposes innovative methods to activate the senses, whether stimulated physically, virtually, or through memory, transforming the customer journey.
Events and dissemination
CDOS Thursdays
The DOS Chair organizes a series of conferences entitled "CDOS Thursdays" for an audience of students from the Executive Manager of Information Systems and Digital programs, for professionals and partners of the Chair. These conferences are held on Thursday afternoons, mostly in french.
Games of Streams
The DOS Chair has launched "Game of Streams", a boundary object resulting from original research work. This playful approach aims to generate ideas by taking advantage of digital data streams, with the result: value creation initiatives based on innovative services and products to offer your customers.
Participation in conferences for the general public
The DOS Chair participates in festivals and events for the general public such as the Festival Transfo or the Geopolitical Festival.
