GEM expands to London at the heart of European finance

GEM

GEM will open a new hub in London in September 2026, located within the Republic campus, close to Canary Wharf. This strategic expansion strengthens its presence in major global  economic centers and aims to directly connect its students with international professional environments.

London, a strategic hub

London remains a key center of global finance. Canary Wharf is home to major international institutions such as Barclays, HSBC and JPMorgan. By establishing a presence there, GEM  provides its students with direct access to this ecosystem.

A hub dedicated to the international student experience

This new hub has been designed as an agile academic and professional base, fully dedicated to enhancing the student experience.

Students will be able to take part in immersion periods, with a clear objective: to strengthen their international employability and exposure to the most competitive professional environments. These experiences will be closely integrated into programs such as the MSc Finance & Investment Banking, with direct connections to key players in the UK financial sector. The London site will also host intensive formats such as bootcamps, learning expeditions, and short modules codeveloped with local companies.

An alumni community at the heart of the initiative

The London hub is also intended to become a key gathering place for the GEM community in the United Kingdom, fostering connections between students, alumni, and companies.

GEM relies on a strong network of 1,250 alumni in the UK, including nearly 300 based in London, with around 10% working in banking and financial services. This network will play a  central role in mentoring, career placement, and the development of new professional opportunities.

Our alumni network, present across key sectors, plays a decisive role in our international development. It supports students throughout their journey and creates a strong link between education, experience, and career integration.

A strategic expansion in the United Kingdom

This opening is part of the EAGLE 2030 strategic plan, which aims to strengthen GEM’s international presence within major academic and economic ecosystems. Over the past 18 months, the business school has developed several partnerships in the United Kingdom, including a double degree with Newcastle University, as well as collaborations with Hult  International Business School (a triple-accredited institution) and Manchester Metropolitan University.
With this London hub, GEM is reinforcing its footprint in major global economic  centers and continuing to scale up internationally.

We have chosen to establish ourselves where economic decisions are made. London is a strategic anchor point for training graduates who are able to thrive in complex and international environments.
