GEM and the CEA lauch Europe's first EMBA dedicated to technology transfert

Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) are launching the first European EMBA focused on the commercialization of technological innovations. Starting in October 2025, these organizations will take on the challenge of supporting the region’s high tech industries in the highly competitive field of talent acquisition.

This unprecedented partnership between higher education in management and technological research is a strategic response to the growing challenges of national and European sovereignty. In a context driven by the revival of high-tech industries, it will strengthen the region’s resilience and competitiveness in the face of global technological and economic challenges This EMBA will train leaders capable of driving innovation to enhance technological autonomy and ensure its sustainable development.


By training leaders who can transform scientific discoveries into market ready solutions, this EMBA aims to strengthen Europe's position in the global innovation race. With increasing competition from the US and China in deep tech and high-value industries, Europe needs skilled professionals to drive its technological sovereignty.

This innovative program is designed for high level scientific profiles, including engineers and PhDs, to equip them with the skills to transform technological innovation into economic value. Graduates will be trained in key areas such as intellectual property, enabling them to effectively market highly advanced innovations to businesses and CTOs of major corporations.

Unlike traditional MBAs, this program is specifically designed for scientists and engineers looking to transition into leadership roles in tech driven industries By combining deep tech expertise with business acumen, the EMBA provides a unique skill  set for those aiming to drive innovation and commercialization in high stakes sectors.

The EMBA will be structured around three strategic specializations: microelectronics (starting in 2025 for the first cohort), energy, and artificial intelligence applied to industry. Its hybrid format, combining nine weeks of intensive in-person sessions and online modules, is designed to offer flexibility and accessibility, thus attracting international talent and professionals currently in the workforce.
