I’m a PhD candidate and Lecturer at Grenoble École de Management and Université Savoie Mont Blanc. I investigate the micro-foundations of the social impact of science, specifically focusing on how the mandate for 'impact' is negotiated in practice. My work moves beyond technocratic metrics to explore how scientists' internal values, institutional embeddedness, and macro-political contexts shape their engagement. I theorize 'impact' not just as a policy outcome, but as a situated practice and a repertoire of resistance in turbulent environments. My research also bridges to the strategic management of the science-society interface by revealing how scientists navigate the inherent paradoxes of cross-sector collaboration and research valorization.
I work with qualitative case studies and action research, and my fieldwork has taken me to synchrotron labs and various cross-sector collaboration programs. My academic journey has also been enriched by visiting fellowships in Brazil (University of Campinas) and Denmark (Copenhagen Business School), thanks to support from the Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Erasmus+ programs.
I teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Sustainable Transitions for International Business, Global Strategy, Responsible Management of Organizations, and Technological and Social Entrepreneurship. I also supervise master’s theses on topics such as sustainable innovation, the circular economy, and business practices in the Global South.
Before diving into academia, I worked in marketing and strategy across China and Belgium, and hold master’s degrees in International Business and Philosophy. Outside work, I'm passionate about practicing mindfulness, Qi Gong, and Tai Chi.
