I’m a PhD candidate in Organization Studies at Grenoble École de Management and Université Savoie Mont Blanc. In simple words, I explore what happens when science tries to change the world. My doctoral research looks at the paradoxical tensions that arise when scientists aim to create social impact while being pulled in different directions by academic norms, stakeholder interests, and personal values. Inspired by the Eastern philosophies like Daoism, I use paradox theory because it embraces complexity instead of simplifying it, thus enabling us to understand how people deal with ‘competing truths’ rather than choosing one. Ultimately, I want to shed light on the invisible side behind ‘impact’, and advocate a "both-and" approach integrated with situated practices.

I work with qualitative case studies and action research, and my fieldwork has taken me to synchrotron labs, cross-sector collaboration programs, and corporate boardrooms. My academic journey has also been enriched by visiting fellowships in Brazil (University of Campinas) and Denmark (Copenhagen Business School), thanks to support from the Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Erasmus+ programs

Before diving into academia, I worked in marketing and strategy across China and Belgium, and hold master’s degrees in International Business and Philosophy. Outside work, I'm passionate in practicing Zazen and traditional Chinese martial arts (Qi Gong). Deepening the connection with land, nature, non-human species is central to my personal pursuit.

I teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Sustainable Transitions for Business, Global Strategy, and Responsible Management of Organizations. I also supervise master’s theses on topics such as sustainable innovation, the circular economy, and business practices in the Global South.
