On 10 and 11 September 2025, Grenoble École de Management (GEM) welcomed 1,400 new students to its Alpes campus across all programs. Two major events marked the occasion: Campus Life Day and the institutional kick-off at the Polesud ice rink. These complementary highlights reflect GEM’s commitment to enriching the student experience, fostering connections, and engaging its talented community from day one.
Campus Life Day: Discover, Get Involved, and Connect
Held on Wednesday, 10 September, Campus Life Day offered students an immersive introduction to the vibrant life on campus. They met with 21 student associations—true incubators for ideas and experimentation, some managing budgets of up to €1 million. It was a unique opportunity to get involved, gain hands-on experience, and develop skills in leadership, creativity, and teamwork.
Students also explored GEM’s full range of support services, including career guidance, health and inclusion, international exchange opportunities, and student financing—essential resources to support them throughout their academic journey.
Institutional Kick-Off: A Spectacular Launch at Polesud Ice Rink
The following day, GEM officially launched the academic year at an iconic venue: the Polesud Ice Rink. On the ice, Managing Director Fouziya Bouzerda and Academic Director Philippe Monin shared their vision and commitments, joined by inspiring guests: Joël Tronchon, GEM alumnus and Global VP of Sustainability at L'Oréal, and Matias Bachelet, student and elite athlete, player for the Brûleurs de Loups—Grenoble’s ice hockey team and nine-time French champions.

The club delivered a dynamic, interactive show—hug cam, singing, and a mini-match—turning the start of the school year into a festive, community-rooted celebration.
A New Year Shaped by Commitment and Collaboration
Through these two events, GEM reaffirms its ambition to offer students an immersive and inclusive experience built on exploration, innovation, and impact.
From the moment they arrive, students become active participants in their own journey and in the life of the school, embracing a spirit of openness and shared purpose.
