GEM’s Bachelor in Management is a three-year program designed to teach management through hands-on experience. You will explore the core functions of a company—marketing, digital communication, business development, project management, finance, and more—while learning directly in real-world settings. Through internships, practical projects, and work-study opportunities, you progress quickly to build solid experience that will help you choose your pathway: joining the workplace or continuing your studies.
The Bachelor in Management is also available in a format adapted for high-level athletes.

Bachelor in Management students can choose to study at one of our three French campuses:

Objectives of the Bachelor in Management

Classes are complemented by substantial individual and team work, including group projects, case studies, simulations, presentations, and assignments supervised by professionals.

Assessment and Validation
The skills acquired throughout the Bachelor in Management are assessed continuously through a combination of individual assignments, group projects, case studies, presentations, simulations, and written exams. Midterm exams further track students’ progress and mastery of knowledge throughout the semesters.
The final assessment takes into account the chosen specialization as well as the professional experiences completed during the Bachelor, which serve as key learning opportunities and promote autonomy.
In the event of partial certification, the competency blocks that have been successfully completed are permanently validated and result in an official certificate, ensuring recognition of the skills acquired.

These entrance exams for the Bachelor in Management at GEM are the same for all admission pathways.
- Motivation Interview (20 min): presentation of academic background, interests, and study plan.
- English Oral Exam (20 min):
- Listening and speaking skills, text commentary (10 min) + free discussion (10 min)
- Candidates prepare two texts in advance from a corpus provided by GEM (sent upon eligibility). On the day of the exam, the examiner selects one of the two texts for the interview.
- English Oral Exam for High-Level Athletes (60 min): online test

Focus on… the Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Program by GEM
Second-year students in the Bachelor in Management can choose to participate in an exchange within a program offered by GEM. Focused on innovation and entrepreneurship in a digital context, this international experience is delivered entirely in English at a partner university.
Internships in 1st & 2nd Year
Internships are true learning opportunities, allowing students to explore different careers, confirm their professional interests, and develop skills through hands-on experience. They are an essential step in building your career plan.
Internships are mandatory in 1st and 2nd year:
- 1st year: 2–4 month internship in France or abroad, for a first immersion in the professional world.
- 2nd year: 2–4 month internship in France or abroad, to deepen skills and refine your career plan.
Mandatory Work-Study Format in 3rd Year
As a pioneer among leading business schools and a committed institution, GEM views work-study programs as a powerful lever for professionalization and employability. Within the Bachelor in Management, the work-study format is mandatory in Year 3, on the Grenoble or Paris campus, following a 1-week at school / 3-weeks in the company schedule. This format offers an extended, hands-on experience in the professional world, directly linked to the chosen specialization.
Note: French law requires that non-European international students reside in France for over a year to sign a work-study contract and be eligible for the 3rd-year work-study program.
