Partnerships

The Local Sustainability Transition and Well-being Chair builds on a strong network of academic, public, business and non-profit partners. Through sponsorships, partnerships and research collaborations, the Chair co-produces applied knowledge and tools that support ecological, economic and social transitions at the local level.

Patronage

By supporting a research chair, you contribute to the development of applied research with concrete impact for ecosystems engaged in sustainability transitions. You also support and take part in the advancement of innovative educational approaches addressing these challenges.

Partners benefit from privileged access to research teams, academic expertise, students and the international reputation of Grenoble Ecole de Management.

Why engage as a patron?

While the Chair’s research outputs are made widely accessible, supporting the Local Sustainability Transition and Well-being Chair enables you to:

  • Contribute to shaping and validating the Chair’s strategic research priorities
  • Deepen understanding of emerging phenomena affecting organisations and local socio-economic systems
  • Participate in working groups aligned with your organisation’s interests
  • Increase your organisation’s visibility through Chair publications and events
  • Build strong connections with GEM’s educational programmes and students

Patrons and Partners

The Chair develops several types of partnerships. These may involve collaboration on a shared project, funding a postdoctoral position focused on a specific research theme, or jointly supervising a CIFRE PhD thesis (in French) with a partner organisation.

Academic Collaborations

The Chair collaborates with a wide range of academic institutions on joint research projects, including participation in the POPSU programme (in French) on attractiveness and later on water-related pathways; the Annual Report on Risks and Resilience (in French); scientific advisory boards for Grenoble European Green Capital initiatives and the Climate and Transitions Scientific Council (in French).

The Chair also co-organises public-facing events with research institutions.

Our Patrons and Partners

The Chair operates through three partner groups: one bringing together local and regional public authorities, one composed of companies, and a third group made up of actors from the social and solidarity economy (SSE). The third group includes partners with whom the Chair engages in shared expertise and knowledge exchange.
