Support

Project funding is subject to validation by a joint commission. The funding body first mobilizes the rights registered on the employee's CPF, which can be topped up or supplemented by the CPIR, the employer, or local authorities. Coverage applies to:

  • Training and skills validation costs
  • Ancillary costs: transport, accommodation, and meals
  • Remuneration during training time: When the project is carried out during working time, the organization pays the employee's remuneration, calculated on the basis of his or her current or last paid salary.

Steps

  • Choose the right training: The training chosen must be consistent with the employee's career plan. The main objective of the funding body is to ensure that the employee is employable at the end of the course.
  • Request authorization for absence from your employer (permanent employee): in writing no later than 120 days before the start of the training course if the absence is for at least 6 months, 60 days before if the training course is for less than 6 months or is part-time. The employer must respond within 30 days. The employer may request a postponement (up to a maximum of 9 months).
  • Apply to your training organization for reimbursement: The application must be sent no later than 3 months before the start of the training course.
