Financial Aid Officer for international students (f/m)

The mission of the Recruitment, Marketing, International Admissions department for International Programs (P.I) within the International Division is to contribute to the internationalization of Grenoble Ecole de Management by promoting, recruiting and admitting students to GEM's international programs.

The International Department is looking for a Scholarships and Financial Aid Manager for international students (f/h).  
The position involves three main tasks:  

  • Manage the set-up, processing, disbursement and administrative and financial follow-up of financial aid for students on international programs.
  • Develop the offer of internal/external scholarships and other means of financing for students on international programs. 
  • Ensure administrative and financial follow-up of “tuition fees” for students on international programs.

Duties

Reporting to the department manager

Manage and process requests for financial assistance (internal, French and international)

  • Advise and guide applicants on financing options (bank loans, third-party financing) 
  • Prepare funding applications (scholarships and student loans): France and abroad; for applicants and students, in liaison with third-party funders, the accounts receivable department and management control 
  • Collaborate and coordinate with international study financing partners  
  • Design and update the GEM Financial Aid Adviser in collaboration with other 
    GEM 
  • Analyze and evaluate scholarship applications (application table and individual evaluation form)  
  • Have GEM scholarship applications validated by an internal committee. 
  • Monitor students' academic progress/attendance in accordance with scholarship and loan regulations. 
  • Design and update internal procedures for processing funding applications.   
  • Draw up letters of confirmation of financial aid for partners and students.
  • Update contracts, schedules and training agreements in liaison with the Legal Department and the relevant departments.Monitor payment of related funding.
  • Implement procedures for processing funding applications.
  • Maintain tables/statistics relating to funding awarded. 

Manage student tuition fees for GEM's international programs in conjunction with the accounting department. 

  • Follow-up and dunning of P.I. students' tuition fees prior to integration.
  • Carry out day-to-day financial management operations 
  • Advise students on procedures for applying for visas to study in France. 
  • Issue various documents required by students to apply for visas/accommodation
  • Manage requests from Campus France and French consulates for visa files. 
  • Track cancellations and requests for refunds. 
  • Update performance indicators in liaison with the International Programs IT department, the Accounts Receivable department and Management Control. 

Other tasks related to the job

  • Liaise with the student integration department on the Paris and Grenoble campuses
  • Coordinate with the KOM department to update the “Taught in English” and “Etudes en France” catalogues. 

Skills required

With a 3/4-year higher education qualification, you have at least 2 years' experience in an administrative position in day-to-day financial management.

Skills

  • Fluent in English and French, both verbally and in writing

  • Start date: as soon as possible 
  • Salary: according to profile and experience
