"Cap Bien Vivre" Day – Staying the course towards sobriety

  • June 26
  • From 09:30 AM to 05:00 PM (Paris time)
  • Campus Grenoble 12 rue Pierre Sémard 38000 Grenoble France

As crises increasingly intertwine, how can we create synergies between frugality and quality of life? What tools can help highlight co-benefits and avoid co-costs? How can we break down the silos between social, environmental, and economic issues, and foster integrated territorial action? The Inclusive Sustainability Chair, Cap Bien Vivre, and ADEME are organizing a full day of reflection and action, bringing together social, environmental, and economic challenges, on June 26, 2025, at Grenoble Ecole de Management.

The ambition of this day is to bring together professionals from businesses, local authorities, the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE), and researchers interested in these topics, in order to build upon the many existing initiatives that combine social and environmental commitments.

The discussions will allow for the sharing of key insights on the operationalization of tools that promote both the synergy between quality of life and frugality, and cooperation among actors from diverse backgrounds.

Over a day of discussions and workshops, we will collectively explore inspiring initiatives, actionable institutional levers, and feedback from stakeholders already engaged in these transitions. The objective: to pool knowledge, enrich practices, and contribute to Cap Bien Vivre, a resource center supporting transitions, led by the Inclusive Sustainability Chair at Grenoble Ecole de Management, Grenoble Alpes Metropole, the City of Grenoble, CCFD-Terres Solidaires, FAIR (Forum for Other Wealth Indicators), and the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA).

An event for those who want to combine frugality, social justice, and territorial innovation.

Preliminary Program

The daytime sessions are primarily designed to foster co-construction between stakeholders rather than simply raise awareness.
For those wishing to first explore the topic, please consult the Cap Bien Vivre resource center.
