In the context of large-scale cyberattack campaigns currently affecting numerous organizations and companies, GEM is among the institutions concerned.
We have been informed of the circulation of data attributed to GEM in this context, despite strengthened security measures that have been implemented and reinforced over recent months. As soon as this situation was identified, analyses were initiated to assess its nature and scope.
At this stage, the elements analyzed involve limited personal data from our communities, such as identification and contact information. No sensitive information, such as passwords or banking data, has been compromised.
In accordance with our regulatory obligations, the necessary steps have been taken with the relevant authorities (CNIL and ANSSI), and the individuals concerned are being informed directly; vigilance measures are being reiterated to them.
As a precautionary measure, we encourage all our stakeholders to remain vigilant regarding potential fraud attempts, including:
unexpected emails, SMS messages, or phone calls claiming to originate from the School or its partners;
messages prompting recipients to click on a link, download a document, or provide personal information.
We remain fully committed to ensuring data protection and to informing our stakeholders with full transparency.
