Joachim Schleich

Joachim Schleich, Diploma in Economics from the University of Mannheim, MSc in Economics from the University of Florida, and PhD in Applied Economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), joined Grenoble Ecole de Management as Professor of energy economics in the department of Management & Technology in September 2011. He is also employed at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in Karlsruhe, Germany, where he started working in 1998 and where he had been leading the business unit "Energy and Climate Policy" until 2011. Since 2004 Joachim also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Tech. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of "Energy Efficiency". His recent research includes conceptual and empirical analyses of factors driving companies’ and individuals’ adoption of energy efficient and renewable energy technologies, field experiments on households’ responses to energy consumption feedback and to dynamic pricing, analysis of competitiveness and innovation effects of energy and climate policy, design of international climate policy, and perceptions of fairness in international climate policy. This research has been published in Energy Economics, Resource and Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Climate Policy, Ecological Economics, Energy Efficiency, European Journal of Political Economy and Review of International Economics.
