Changing Energy Efficiency Technology Adoption in Household
CHEETAH provides empirical evidence for the effectiveness of policies such as energy labels or subsidies for the adoption of energy-efficient technologies in households, relying on representative choice experiments in eight EU countries. Employing engineering-economic and macro-economic models, it also explores the effects of micro-level decision-making and of energy-efficiency policies on EU residential energy demand and on macro-economic variables until 2030.

Pioneering change in sustainable energy
Multiannual - UE - EIT KIC INNO ENERGY
At InnoEnergy, sustainability is about more than lowering emissions. True sustainability also means an industry that’s commercially viable, endlessly innovative, and highly competitive. InnoEnergy makes this possible by supporting sustainable energy innovations which provide industry with risk free, pioneering new technologies that reduce energy costs, increase system performance, decrease greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, create jobs, and increase competitiveness.
GEM is involved in different faculty programs of InnoEnergy as:
A broad-based education in a variety of key engineering disciplines. A focus on the inter-disciplinary aspects of the sustainable energy sector. And an in-depth understanding of the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in the future energy industry. MSc ENTECH enables you to think in new ways about energy, and gives you a solid foundation from which to meet tomorrow’s energy challenges.

It strengthens connections between individual researchers across Europe and support cross-cultural collaboration and teamwork – and the program helps to bring research labs and universities closer to industry.
Promoting entrepreneurship and innovating in healthy living and active ageing, with the aim to improve quality of life and healthcare across Europe
Demographic change is one of the main challenges European societies are facing today. The growth in the oldest segment of the population, and an increase in chronic diseases, is putting pressure on health and social care costs. EIT Health brings together leading healthcare companies across multiple industry sectors, public and private research centres, and top universities, to create a powerful network of partners with a clear mission : to accelerate entrepreneurship and innovation in healthy living and active ageing by providing Europe’s top talents with new opportunities and resources, for the benefit of all citizens.
GEM is involved in different projects of EIT Health :
Health IMPACT will enable attendees to strengthen their abilities and competencies to drive innovation in health and healthcare organisations.
Participants will be empowered to think different, create from scratch, develop with confidence and promote with conviction.
They will be entitled to transform an idea into a realistic project and make it live.
Health IMPACT aims to make health organizations more intrapreneurial and help employees become intrapreneurs.
Are medical students interested in hospital hygiene/infection control ?
Let’s use amusing modern technologies to transport them to a hygienic world.
With a scenario taking place in an operating room, we want them to understand the risks for patients and to teach them how to avoid them.
