The GEM Foundation, sheltered by the Fondation de France, has existed since 2016 to develop the societal impact of GEM and its stakeholders by supporting general interest projects through patronage.
Research, innovation, inclusion and the fight against all forms of student insecurity: become a committed player alongside Grenoble Ecole de Management and its Foundation.
Mission
Through its public-interest mission, the GEM Foundation reinforces the societal commitments of Grenoble Ecole de Management, the first business school to become a mission-driven company.
The Foundation offers companies and individuals the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to issues that impact society as a whole: digital transformation, healthcare, energy, regional transitions, women's entrepreneurship, inclusion of diversity in the workplace...
Thanks to the generosity and commitment of our donors and sponsors (alumni, companies, etc.), we are able to benefit both companies and students through the projects we support.
The projects
The purpose of the GEM Foundation is to support public-interest projects and research projects, particularly in the context of chairs, and to promote the social openness of the school and equal opportunities by awarding grants to students.
Financing scholarships
To ensure that everyone has access to education on the basis of their skills, whatever their economic situation, geographical origin, difference or unique talents, the GEM Foundation has chosen to focus its actions around two types of action:
- Solidarity initiatives ("coup de pouce" and "d'aide d'urgence" bursaries) that provide one-off assistance to GEM students in serious difficulty (health problems, family breakdown, disability) by paying individual bursaries to cope with emergency situations.
- Scholarships, based on social criteria and excellence, to help the most deserving students gain access to higher education, by contributing to the partial financing of tuition fees or living expenses.

Develop research and teaching chairs
The GEM Foundation's ambition is to connect research and society to meet societal challenges, by funding new research, disseminating the results to as many people as possible and using them to improve student training. In this sense, it aims to be a genuine tool for the co-construction of knowledge.

Research chairs
Participate in a research chair of Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) enables managers and employees to develop their collective intelligence to help the company grow, and to contribute to a profound transformation of society. It also means taking a concrete part in the challenges of tomorrow, and in forward-looking work on the tools, professions and skills needed to support major transitions.Updated 1/17/2024
