Programme Grande Ecole for exchange students

Are you an international student and want to be a part of the Programme Grande Ecole ?
Here is some useful information…

Admission requirements

Mandatory Requirement: Your home university must be a member of the ESC Grenoble partner schools. If this is the case, you may attend the ESC program through an exchange agreement.

In the context of a partnership agreement established with ESC Grenoble, your home university selects candidates according to the established criteria (application, interview, etc…)

Depending on your home institution’s requirements, you may attend the ESC program for a variable length of time in your equivalent academic year. You will therefore join a corresponding academic class made up in majority of French students.

All these courses are taught in French:

The spaces are unlimited: each year around 200 international students participate in the Programme Grande Ecole.

According to the conditions proposed/mandated by your home university, you may choose:

  • one semester (first or second)
  • a full academic year

And join the Programme Grande Ecole:

  • in the first year (equivalent to the last year of a Bachelor’s degree/Undergraduate)
  • in the second or third year (equivalent to a two year Master’s degree/Graduate)

Your choice of courses will be made once you arrive within the first two weeks. During this period you may try out the different courses before making your final choice. It is the responsibility of your home university to determine the number of courses or course hours you must take.

Degree and Curriculum

If your home university is linked with our institution through a dual degree agreement, your exchange will be an integral part of studies and the ESC Grenoble degree will be officially awarded.

  • If you attend the entire first year of the Programme Grande Ecole, you will receive a Bachelor’s degree.
  • If you attend the entire second or third year of the Programme Grande Ecole, you will receive the equivalent of a Master’s degree.

European students are graded according to the ETCS credit system:

  • If 30 ETCS credits are validated, they will receive an ESC Grenoble Certificate.
  • If 60 ETCS credits are validated, they will receive an ESC Grenoble Diploma.

ESC Grenoble offers you and all the other students in the ESC program, an official internship contract which will allow you to gain professional experience in France. Like all our other students, you will have free access to the Career Center and personalised job search assistance.
