International Human Resources Management :
The module covers the HR issues and challenges linked to the internationalization of the business. Cultural, national and organizational issues that have a major influence on managing across borders are analyzed and demonstrated through case examples, including the strategic dimension of these.
Organizational Behavior
The module aims to provide participants with a knowledge of how organisations function to achieve effective and efficient performance and of the managerial approaches to encouraging, motivating and leading employees to enable them to perform effectively.
Change Management
This module is designed with the objective of developing delegates’ awareness of methodology for conceptualising and managing change in organisations. Thus it is appropriate for anybody who is concerned with changing aspects of organisational practices (e.g. Business & Systems Analysts, Consultants, E-Commerce Consultants).
It is designed with the objective of transforming the thinking patterns of the delegates, to help them think conceptually, and help them to develop innovative practice and solutions to problematic situations in organisations. Whilst the emphasis of the module is on conceptual thinking, its central objective is to be highly practical, and therefore links theory and practice. It draws on Systems Thinking and Systems Practice in order to achieve this, and thereby informing the intellectual basis upon which to instigate intervention and change.
Leadership
We study cases of creative and innovative business leadership, focusing on individuals who form and change their organizations. How do effective leaders transform corporations and their cultures? What can students learn about the different leadership styles, and what can they apply to their own career development?
