  • Groupe ESC Grenoble ranked the 8th best French business school by Challenges, a French business magazine.
  • The Certificate in International Business (CIB) program is created; it is targeted at French and foreign undergraduate students wishing to learn about intercultural management
  • 30th double degree and 66th partnership with a partner institution.
  • Opening up of 3000 square meters of space in the school dedicated to multimedia and international programs.
  • A Lotus Notes groupware application is put in place.
  • Hewlett-Packard and France Telecom become involved as internship partners for Master of Science in Management students.
  • New Mastère Spécialisé in Technology Management developed in partnership with Philips France.

  • Groupe ESC Grenoble hosts the 8th annual international conference on Technology Management.
  • New Mastère Spécialisé in Logistics and Purchasing created.
  • French students go abroad for their internships.
  • First partner institution in South Africa, the University of Stellenbosch, Cape Town.
  • First partner institution in Asia, Nanyang Business School, Singapore.

 
1999 
 

  • Groupe ESC Grenoble and IBM enter in a partnership revolving around E-business.
  • A new Mastère Spécialisé in E-Business is created.
  • The Master of Science in Management program receives the ISO 9001 qualification, signalling the school’s devotion to providing quality service to its customers: businesses.
  • The Center for Techno-Entrepreneurship (CTE), an incubator and consultant for innovative new projects, opens its doors. 
    The school’s first start-up, with the CTE’s help, begins activity; Ionix is specialized in the Linux operating system. 
  • The BNP-Paribas group and L’Etudiant magazine award the school a ‘Trophée des Grandes Ecoles’ for its pedagogical innovation in developing the CTE.

 
2000
 

  • Groupe ESC Grenoble receives EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation from the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), placing it among the top business schools in Europe.
  • L’Etudiant, a French magazine on higher education, ranks Groupe ESC Grenoble the 6th business school in France.
  • Two new MBA programs created: one, created in partnership with IBM is specialized in E-business, and the other specialized in Global Management.
  • A recruitment office is opened in Shanghai, to expose the Chinese market to Grenoble Graduate School of Business’ international programs.
  • The Mastère Spécialisé E-business receives an award for excellence from the Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF), a group that recognizes innovative higher education programs the world over.
  • To celebrate its 16th anniversary and its 2001st exchange student, the school organizes and hosts the International Relations Forum which brings together 27 partner institutions.

 
2001
 

  • Groupe ESC Grenoble becomes a multi-site school by setting up its programs internationally: 1 in Russia, 1 in Moldova, 1 in Malta, 2 in China.
  • 40% of the student body now comes from abroad.
  • Grenoble Graduate School of Business is listed in BusinessWeek’s ‘Best Full-Time MBA Programs’, alongside 28 other European business schools.
  • 5 new international programs are started: MBA in Technology Management, MBA in Global Management, Mastère Spécialisé in Webmarketing; Mastère Spécialisé in E-banking; Mastère Spécialisé in “Working with Local Governments”
  • Installation of a wireless LAN throughout the school, allowing students to use their laptops to connect to the network and the Internet from anywhere in the building.
