2002
 

  • Thierry Grange becomes Dean and Director General of Groupe ESC Grenoble.
  • Groupe ESC Grenoble becomes a multi-site school, with the opening of 5 campuses abroad: 1 in Russia, 1 in Moldova, 1 in Malta and 2 in China.
  • Groupe ESC Grenoble listed among the Top 100 Global Business Schools according to the Top MBA 2002 guide.
  • Groupe ESC Grenoble co-hosts the first AACSB International conference outside of the U.S., on the theme of Strategic Alliances.
  • Two new Mastères Spécialisés are opened at the ESC Grenoble, in business intelligence and biotechnology management.

 
2003
 

  • Groupe ESC Grenoble changes its name in January 2003 and becomes Grenoble Ecole de Management, in order to position itself as a major player in management education.
  • Grenoble Ecole de Management is re-accredited EQUIS for 5 years, confirming its standing as a leading French and European business school.
  • Two new campuses open in Morocco and in Serbia and Montenegro.
  • 100% of students in the Master of Science in Management have significant international experience.
  • Jean-François Fiorina is appointed Dean of ESC Grenoble
  • Grenoble Ecole de Management launches a 10 million euro building extension program that will bring its total surface area
    to 33 000 m².

 
2004 
 

  • Grenoble Ecole de Management celebrates its 20th anniversary in the company of its partners: partner universities, corporate partners, alumni.
  • Grenoble Ecole de Management obtains AACSB accreditation, an international recognition of the School's quality.
  • In April, the School is awarded AMBA accreditation for its MBA program and joins a select group of business schools worldwide that hold the triple crown of business school accreditations: AACSB - EQUIS - AMBA.
  • Grenoble Graduate School of Business offers a Part-Time version of its MBA program, thus allowing future managers to earn the degree while maintaining a professional activity.
  • Grenoble Ecole de Management launches the Institute of Customer Equity.
  • The first program of the EMSI, the "Programme Executive en Management du Système d'information" begins in October 2004.

 
2005
 

  • Grenoble Graduate School of Business' Master in International Business program receives PEMM accreditation from AMBA and is ranked 8th in the Financial Times ranking of European Masters in Management.
  • In November, Grenoble Graduate School of Business opens an MBA program in the Republic of Georgia.
  • A Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) co-delivered by Grenoble Ecole de Management and the University of Newcastle upon Tyne Business School, specialized in the Management of Technology, is launched for high-level managers.
  • Grenoble Ecole de Management and The European Institute of Purchasing Management (EIPM) join forces to develop shared training programs in purchasing and supply chain management.
  • ESC Grenoble brings about important changes to its Grande Ecole program for the September 2005 intake. The key words of these changes: personalization, self-confidence and openness.
  • The first graduating class of the FORMAGEST program in Casablanca, Morocco, receives its diplomas in April.
  •  The Ecole de Management des Systèmes d’Informations (EMSI) offer is expanded to include three different types of training programs and welcomes Renaud Cornu-Emieux as its new dean.
  • Grenoble Ecole de Management organizes the first "Territoires et Innovations" conference, following the opening of a 3rd year specialization in the Grande Ecole program devoted to the management of local authorities.

 
2006
 

  • New continuing education partnership between Grenoble Ecole de Management and ENST Bretagne.
  • Jérôme Barrand, Grenoble Ecole de Management faculty member, publishes « Le Manager agile » (Editions Dunod)
  • Grenoble exports its MBA in London and Georgia.
  • Thierry Grange, Dean and Director of Grenoble Ecole de Management, elected to the AACSB board of Directors.
  • India : The Grenoble school opens an office in New Delhi and signs two new partnerships with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) and the International Management Institute (both of them ranked within the top 10 schools in India).
  • Grenoble Ecole de Management and Académie® Accor Services join forces to develop training programs and research in services marketing.
  • GGSB launches a Master of Science in Finance.
  •  Yannick Chatelain, researcher and faculty member at Grenoble Ecole de Management publishes « Qui veut la mort d’Internet ? » (Editions L’Harmattan).
  • With an expertise in artificial intelligence, Jean-Philippe Rennard, publishes « Réseaux neuronaux » (Vuibert).
  •  The Grenoble MIB has climbed into fourth place in the Financial Times best European Master in Management ranking announced on 11th September 2006. The school is also gearing up to welcome its first MIB students in Singapore.
  • 2006 Grandes Ecoles entry competition exams: Grenoble confirms its excellence with over 9400 candidates for 480 places.
  • EMSI, in partnership with CIGREF (Club Informatique des Grandes Entreprises Françaises) and with the support of the Rhône Alpes region, designs the first French competency reference and resource list for jobs in the information system sector.
  • Grenoble Ecole de Management has signed a partnership with SourcingParts, the number one Worldwide Manufacturing Network, with the aim of training executives and students in e-purchasing and international sourcing.
  • The CNFPT Rhône-Alpes Grenoble and Grenoble Ecole de Management sign a partnership with the aim of developing training programmes tailor-made to local authorities.
  • Creation of a new research institute at Grenoble Ecole de Management - “Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE)” where research scientists work side by side with the business world.
  • Grenoble Ecole de Management and Cegos join forces - A new partnership between the two institutions aims at creating and trading innovative training programmes for executives
  • The Grenoble Ecole de Management’s research centre, TIME, in association with the European Union has launched MATRI (Méthodologie d’Anticipation des Transformations Industrielles), to look into clusters and how anticipating industrial transformations will better prepare businesses for the future.
