New electives on Grenoble’s MSc in Finance

Four new electives will be available from September 2010.
Islamic Finance, covering Fundamentals of Islamic Finance; Islamic Banking and Islamic Capital Markets.
Micro Finance, covering Principles of Micro Finance, Financial management of a Micro Finance Institution (MFI) and Operational management of a MFI.
Corporate Finance, covering Cash Management & Bank Relations, Performance Management, and Control & Strategy.
Market Finance, covering Financial Modeling using "Visual Basic for Applications" (VBA) and Bloomberg Trading.
Stéphanie Boyer, Professor and MSc in Finance program Director said: "Further to new academic partnerships, such as with the College of Business Administration in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), we have an increasing number of students from the Middle East and Africa who are thoroughly interested in Islamic Finance.
"We have also a number of students from developing countries who wish to go back after graduation and apply their knowledge in micro-finance to help with the development of their countries.
"Both the electives in Corporate Finance and Market Finance are traditional choices. The Market Finance elective will be enhanced by the new trading floor facility which opened in the school in March 2010, where students have direct access to real-life financial situations via Bloomberg's financial software tools."
The MSc in Finance prepares students for international careers in finance. The program provides a preparation to the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) exams, as it is based on the CFA Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK). It also covers related fields such as management control systems, business law, corporate governance, and private equity investment.
Run entirely in English in Grenoble and London, the course is open to students with a Bachelor degree. No past work experience necessary.
