Grenoble to train future faculty of Business Schools
The Faculty Training Seminar is a new executive education program for academics and professionals focusing on best practices in business school teaching.
 
Preparing future faculty

The three-day custom built seminar from June 30th to July 2nd 2010, is designed for qualified business professionals wishing to share their expertise; executive managers seeking a career change in higher education; and active academics, eager to learn from the best practices of a top-ranked European Business School; and why not teach at GGSB.

Nancy Armstrong, GGSB professor and Director of Studies said: “This new program is founded on the principle that quality education in business management is based on a tripod of academic rigor, business acumen and culturally-aware teaching prowess.

As a triple accredited institution, internationally renowned for the quality of its management programs, GGSB has designed a course that will give insight into this savvy combination of skills, while sharing with participants the best practices that forged its reputation as a leading European business school.”

After completing this program, participants will have acquired the knowledge, techniques and skills necessary to structure and develop higher education management programs in respect of international quality and accreditation standards; design curricula; adapt teaching styles and delivery modes to match classroom dynamics in an international and culturally diverse environment etc.

This seminar will be delivered on the Grenoble campus, and will cover a wide range of topics including: Strategy, Philosophy and Values in a leading European Business School; Academic structure and organization of Pedagogy; Curriculum Building and Course Design Methodology; and Pedagogical Development and Course Delivery.

The future faculty will also receive specific training with regards to the expertise of school in Management of Technology and Innovation.

AACSB’s “Post-Doctoral Bridge to Business Program”

This new course is in line with AACSB’s “Post-Doctoral Bridge to Business Program”, the Grenoble school is involved in since 2008, with the objective of responding to the global doctoral faculty shortages business schools are facing today.
