GGSB ranked within the top 20 Best European Business Schools
|
The international school of Grenoble Ecole de Management, Grenoble Graduate School of Business (GGSB), gained a whopping 11 places in the annual Financial Times (FT) European Business Schools ranking, having been ranked 19th in Europe.
The FT compiled this ranking using the results of the five Business Education rankings it published in 2009.
GGSB’s full-time MBA was ranked 25th best in Europe in January 2009; its Master in International Business (MIB) was ranked 7th Best Master in Management in the world in October 2009 and its Open Executive Education programs were ranked 24th Best in Europe in May 2009.
GGSB is one of the Schools and the French school which has most improved its position in the ranking. The school is ranked on an equal footing as the London School of Economics & Political Science and the University of Oxford: Saïd, both equally at the 19th place as well.
Judith Bouvard, Dean of GGSB said: “We are proud of the significant improvement of GGSB’s rank, especially considering that the FT ranks more and more business schools each year: 70 this year, compared to 65 last year and 60 the year before. This international ranking is valued greatly by our students, alumni, academic and business partners and staff worldwide.”
Thierry Grange, Dean and Director of Grenoble Ecole de Management said: “This significant progress is a strong sign, as are this year’s three re-accreditations, of the international aura of our institution, programs and teams.”
Indeed, the Grenoble School’s activities are highly ‘internationally’ focused:
-
-
10 off-site campuses (London, Casablanca, Moscow, Singapore, China…)
-
-
2000 international students
-
117 nationalities
-
-
160 Doctoral students on six sites (USA, Shanghai, Beijing, UK, Switzerland, Lebanon)
-
-
Approximately 30% of our graduates are employed abroad
The quality of the international strategic development of Grenoble Ecole de Management is also recognised in international business schools associations.
Thierry Grange is highly involved on this international scene, having been nominated to the AACSB Pre-Accreditation committee and elected to the AACSB International Board of Directors (representing non-American accredited institutions) and being a member of the EFMD EPAS Awarding body (Accreditation for international degree programmes in business and management).
