Two new MBA specialisations
The Grenoble Graduate School of Business MBA program has expanded its range of specialised options (electives) to include two new ones for 2008-2009: Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship, Small and Family Business

In order to offer specialised preparation for MBA participants who wish to start or develop their own business - or work for a small business owner - this new elective focuses on the challenges and opportunities of these organisations.

The modules will cover areas in starting a new business, and the specific nature and needs of small business management and of family-run businesses. The program content is being developed with entrepreneurship specialists of the school's faculty and in cooperation with international partners who will contribute to the programme.

Marketing

Over its 3 modules, the new elective covers Marketing Planning and Strategy, Market Research and New Venture Business Planning. Contributors to the teaching include Philip LAST, a brand consultant and consumer goods specialist, Jean-François OUELLET of HEC Montreal, and the Marketing Department of Oxford-Brookes University in the UK.

For the third and final module, participants will travel to Oxford where the course will be taught by our partner institution. Feedback from students has been extremely positive with regard to the pilot sessions already delivered.

These new options join the existing range of MBA specialisations: Management Consulting, Technology Management, Finance, Business Intelligence, and Global Management.
