Dynamics and Internal Context of Technology Management

This module is highly interactive and uses a variety of methods to ensure effective learning in a practical context: short lectures given by the instructor, individual readings, group interaction, exercises, case studies prepared individually and at the very end of the three modules an integrative or capstone case.

As part of the Innovation Management specialization, this module “Dynamics and Internal Context of Technology Management” aims at:

• Learning how innovation irrigates the different activities of the firm
• Developing skills for integrating innovation and technology into existing and new business practices
• Understanding key issues related to innovation management
• Developing behavior to promote and develop innovativeness in the organization.

The objective of this module is to help participants:

• To learn why & how most new technologies & innovations come out of start-ups and small firms, the importance of networks, clusters, alliances and partnerships in an open and global innovation world.
• To develop skills in managing legal & ethical issues in innovation.
• To examine and understand the basics about funding of innovation for start-ups & corporate ventures.

Emerging Trends in Innovation Management

The objective of this module is to help participants:

• To learn and understand the different approaches in innovation coming from emerging countries and what can be used from these new frameworks.
• To recognize the increasing importance of networks, clusters, innovation ecosystem, alliances and partnerships in an open and global innovation world.
• To identify and understand the specifics of innovation in services.
