In 2008, Grenoble Ecole de Management (Grenoble, France) and the Lebanese Canadian University(Aïntoura – Kesrouan near Beirut, Lebanon), have combined forces to offer a unique Doctorate of Business Administration degree in Lebanon. The degree is delivered by Grenoble Ecole de Management.
Recruitment for this program is mainly in Lebanon but also on a worldwide basis. Students come from a wide variety of career backgrounds. These may include: sciences, humanities and technical and engineering fields.
Participants have generally attained a high level of professional achievement. They are typically managers or executives with advanced degrees in business disciplines or professionally qualified teachers in business schools.
Supervision of the doctoral students
Each DBA candidate is assigned a research-active professor from Grenoble Ecole de Management. The Supervisor brings a broad range of expertise and an international reputation in research on business innovation, technology management and the organisational dimensions of technological change.
Training workshops location
Training workshops organized during stage I are held in Grenoble and In Lebanon*. The pedagogical content and the organisation of the seminars are under the responsibility of Grenoble Ecole de Management. A pool of Grenoble Ecole de Management qualified professors has the responsibility of leading the research seminars.
Candidates should have or expect to hold a Master's degree in management (MBA, MA, MSc or equivalent) or in a related discipline from a recognized institution.
Candidates should also have management experience of at least 3 years pre- or post-Master's.
The DBA workshops are conducted in English. Students whose first language is not English or who have not already studied successfully in an English-speaking environment will be required to provide evidence of advanced proficiency in English.
In order to show their potential to conduct an applied research project over a 4 years period, candidates will be asked to submit a Research Proposal based on a managerial problematic they are currently facing and that impacts their business activity (the format is the application package).
Insofar candidates might not have experience in writing a Research Proposal, a “how-to-start” support could be provided by Grenoble Ecole de Management.
