Program Objectives
The Master of Science in Innovation and Technology Management meets the needs of both start-ups and established companies and provides managers and professionals with both technology and business skills.
It contributes to develop managers responsible for the R&D function within high-technology firms.
Not only will these managers be able to exploit existing technologies, they will also be able to:

explore new ideas for the generation of radical innovations,

manage the commercialization of such innovations.

Program overview
Located in Grenoble, the heart of France’s Silicon Valley, Grenoble Graduate School of Business continues its tradition of involvement in the high-tech sector by offering a Master of Science in Innovation and Technology Management.
In addition to its proximity to research-intensive, international companies (STMicroelectronics, Hewlett Packard...) and scientific organizations (the micro and nanotechnology innovation centre Minatec, the French Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique ...), this program also comes from a top quality international teaching team made up of academics and professionals, thus creating an atmosphere supportive of teaching, learning, creative thinking and research.
The program’s main objective is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the field of Innovation and Technology Management.
The program corresponds to the realities of the global management environment by offering highly-specialized courses in the field of both innovation and technology management as well as general management and entrepreneurship, thus extending the intellectual understanding of Innovation and Technology Management.

Program organization
Students will be required to attend the program full-time for one academic year from September to June the following year.
Following the taught part of the program, students must complete a professional dissertation on a topic of their choice related to the program content. This may be done whilst the student is doing an internship or in full-time employment.

The MSc in Innovation and Technology Management accommodates individuals with both technical and non technical Bachelor’s degrees who are seeking graduate education to advance into managerial and leadership roles in the technology-based economy.
It is designed for recent graduate students with a bachelor’s degree as well as managers or entrepreneurs willing to develop and manage technological and business opportunities.

Integrated International Innovation and Technology Management Case Study
The case study at the end of the program will provide the students with the opportunity to pull together all the aspects of the program, to analyse an actual problem related to innovation and technology and to use their skills and knowledge to solve the problem in small groups and in a limited time. The objective is to test the students’ ability in the following areas:

Professional Dissertation
Each student will be required to complete a professional dissertation under the guidance of a tutor from GGSB. The dissertation offers students an opportunity to specialise in Innovation & Technology Management topic of their choice which may be related to their future careers.
The end result is a piece of work of approximately 20 000 words which may be written in French or English and involves both library and field research in companies in France and/or abroad.
The dissertation may also be based on an internship in a company in France or abroad. A project based on an internship often leads to a permanent position within the company. There will be a Research Methodology and Professional Dissertation Workshop to provide the methodology and guidelines for this final project.
Foreign Languages
Foreign language skills are essential in business today and the program is taught in English but provides the possibility to learn French at the same time. No prior knowledge of French is required to attend the program. All participants will study a foreign language. Non-French speakers may study French, native and fluent French speakers will have the possibility to choose from Spanish or Chinese.
